Margie Mc Coy

On march 6th 2008 we found this boat as ‘Margie Mc Coy’ on the internet’s best boatsite www.yachtworld.com.

She was for sale at a bargain price and as classic boat passionates, we decided to buy her right away ‘as she was & where she was’.

Here we set the first steps of an extra-ordinary project, to bring this beautiful New York Commuter, build on Morris Heights by the famous shipyard ‘New York Launch & Engines Company’ in 1931, back to her former glory.

Meanwhile Margie Mc Coy will have to travel from Beaufort - North Carolina in the USA - by exeptional transport on a special truck to Fort Lauderdale - Florida. This service will be provided by boatexpress Florida.

By mid till late April 2008, Margie Mc Coy will be loaded on a big vessel provided by Sevenstars Boattransport from Holland and sail from Fort Lauderdale - Florida USA to the port of Marmaris - Turkey, where she is expected to arrive with many other vessels by mid or late may 2008.

From there she will travel by sea or over land to the port of Bodrum - Turkey.

Zephyria Shipyard at Bodrum is expecting her, to give her the best possible overall-refit to bring her back to the waters of Bodrum in full glory by spring 2009.

Soon we will als add pictures of the start of this mission impossible on this site.

Margie Mc Coy will be de-baptised by the traditional sea and marine-rituals.

After that she will be baptised, again by the sea and marine-rituals, by her new name ‘MOONLIGHT 1931′.

We invite all guests to this site to follow this project. We are convinced that you will enjoy this real story!
